CVE-2021-35559 edited at 20 Oct 2021 17:21:13
Description
- Vulnerability in Java SE versions 7u311, 8u301, 11.0.12, 17. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Java SE.
+ A security issue has been found in OpenJDK before versions 7u321, 8u312, 11.0.13 and 17.0.1 in the security-libs/javax.net.ssl component. An easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise OpenJDK. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of OpenJDK.
Note : This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. This vulnerability can also be exploited by using APIs in the specified Component, e.g., through a web service which supplies data to the APIs.
